“We will never laugh at the suffering of others,” this is Edward Barber’s reaction to the people who are happy over the misfortune of others, particularly the 11,000 talents and employees of ABS-CBN who lost their job after some lawmakers voted to deny the network’s renewal of franchise last Friday.

And for his final message, Barber said: “And the next time something happens to you, the person laughing at us now…don’t worry, we will try to help you. Because we will forever be – in the service of the Filipino.”
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez released a statement regarding the Philippine Congress’ denial of the network’s franchise renewal:
I posted several positive comments in defense of ABS-CBN in Fashionpulis. None of these comments were ever posted in FP. However , almost all of the negative comments against ABS-CBN dominated the comments. I have observed almost all posted comments in FP. I have a feeling FP is a paid DDS in disguise. So sad. Marami ang nababayaran.
