One of Thailand’s biggest superstars, Urassaya Sperbund – better known as Yaya, is set to visit the Philippines from June 13 – 15, 2019, for a series of engagements in Manila. A global ambassador of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Yaya will be meeting fans and LGBTQ advocates in the country during her visit to promote the Land of Smiles among Filipinos.

A country that embraces diversity and equality, Thailand has made strides in making it an ideal destination for its visitor beyond its natural beauty, culture, and cuisine. Through its ‘Open To The New Shades’ campaign, TAT has opened its country to welcome all walks of tourists, especially from the Philippines.

While in the country, Yaya will grace the runway to showcase the best of Thai fashion and culture – along with select local celebrities and models, in an exclusive gala event to be attended by dignitaries, media, trade partners, and LGBTQ advocates, alike, on June 14 (Saturday) in Makati. Fans, on the other hand, will also get a chance to meet TAT’s ambassador during a mall show on June 15, 2019 (Saturday), at the Ayala Mall Circuit in Makati City at 1 PM.

Yaya is one of the leads stars of the Thai Rom-Com, ‘Brother of the Year’ which premiered in Philippine cinemas in September 2018. She also plays Princess Alice in the Thai TV series – ‘The Crown Princess’, which currently airs in the country on GMA 7.

Not the first time to bring its superstars to the country, TAT has previously brought heartthrob – Mario Mauer to the Philippines in 2016.
