The writer and director of “Kita Kita,” now the highest-grossing indie film in Philippine history, revealed that she got a cash bonus from Piolo Pascual’s Spring Films due to the massive success of the surprise hit movie starring Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez.

During the Artist Management Grand Launch of The Idea First Company by Percy Intalan and Jun Lana, Sigrid Bernardo (“Ang Huling ChaCha ni Anita,” “Lorna”) shares with the members of the press that she’s happy with the bonus given to her after “Kita Kita” became a box-office hit. But how much is it?

“Huwag na lang ‘yung presyo pero may bonus naman. Happy naman ako dun kasi una sa lahat wala naman akong expectations, wala akong cut pero binayaran ako and it’s commission worth, I was paid, as director and writer so ok naman,” she said.

Bernardo, by the way, has just been launched as one of the 5 contract directors of The IdeaFirst Company.
