FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano’ to Highlight the Heroism of PH Policemen

The King of Philippine Teleserye brings to life one of the most unforgettable screen-to-television stories in movie history, Coco Martin is Ador/Cardo brings to life Fernando Poe Jr.’s ANG PROBINSYANO.

ABS-CBN and Dreamscape Entertainment Television’s TV presents a modern adaptation of one the country’s movies classics ANG PROBINSYANO airING next week on September 28, 2015. The upcoming teleserye showcases high caliber and solid acting, well-executed action sequences, and a cast worth watching.

ANG PROBINSYANO is a fitting tribute to the King of Philippine Movies, wherein the partnership of the Kapamilya network and FPJ Productions turns this Pilipino classic movie into a drama series which features the heroism of the country’s policemen.

According to Ms. Susan Roces, the Queen of Philippine Movies and beloved wife of ‘Da King,’ she has entrusted the library of all his films under FPJ Production to ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio.

A TALE OF TWO MEN

In this television remake of fPJ’s ANG PROBINSYANO, the story follows the journey of twins Ador and Cardo played by Martin who were estranged due to financial reasons.

Both followed the path of law enforcement in their own right, Ador as a celebrated officer and family man while Cardo is a Special Actions Forces Trooper who loves the solitude of the mountains.

When Ador gets intertwined in a syndicate which leads him to his untimely demise, Cardo steps into his twin’s shoes to cover this fact and is ordered to become his brother, family and all, and be reunited with the grandmother he hates.

Joining Coco Martin are Maja Salvador, Arjo Atayde, Albert Martinez, Agot Isidro, Bela Padilla, Joey Marquez, Jaime Fabregas, Dennis Padilla, Ms. Ana Roces, Zaijian Jaranilla, Malou Crisologo, Malu de Guzman, Marvin Yap, Pepe Herrera, Lester Llansang, John Medina, Michael Jornales, Gio Alvarez and Tess Antonio and Ms. Susan Roces in a specila role. ANG PROBINSYANO starts airing on ABS-CBN on September 28 during the Primetime Bida block. The series is directed by Avel Sunpongco and Malu Sevilla.
