Sam, Maja and Melason Star in PHR Presents ‘Impostor’

In celebration of the first anniversary of the hit afternoon drama, Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) features an all-star cast for its newest series intriguingly titled “Impostor” topbilled by Pinoy Big Brother Double-Up winners turned lovers Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros with the power tandem of Prince of Romance Sam Milby and Drama Sweetheart Maja Salvador.

Based from Martha Cecilia Classic, Impostor is a story of a province lass named Devin who was forced to take the persona of a well-known model, Mariz. Conflicts will arise when Devin eventually falls in love with Mariz’s husband and puzzled on whether confessing or continue living a lie.

A lot of exciting “firsts” transpires with the launch of Impostor–first team-up of Sam and Maja, first drama series of the ‘Melason’ love team and first time for Maja to portray two different roles.

In an interview with Maja, she shares that she accepted the project because of the challenging role, “Excited ako dito sa Impostor. May dalawang magka-ibang karakter kasi ko dito. Si Mariz sobrang sexy, si Devin naman kengkoy.”

When asked about being paired with Sam, the Drama Sweetheart had this to say, “Masuwerte ako kasi sa dami ng mga artista sa generation namin ngayon, pumayag si Sam na ako ang makapareha”.

Like Maja, Sam is delighted with the new partnership, “It’s my first time to be paired with Maja. I’m really enjoying it. We’re having a lot of fun sa tapings.” Sam plays the role of Anthony, a rich businessman and love interest of Maja’s character.

With Sam and Maja in their first ever drama series, Melason love team was overjoyed with the break.

“Sobrang saya ko talaga. Una kasama ko ang mga idol ko na sina Maja at saka si Sam. Tapos binigyan kaagad kami ng pagkakataon sa isang teleserye,” said Jason who plays Popoy, a simple fisherman.

According to Melai who also plays the role of Devin, “Sobrang bait nina Sam at Maja. Love na love nila kami kasi palagi nila kaming ginagabayan.”

Jason added, “Napakarami na po nilang naituro sa amin na iba’t ibang style at technique sa drama.”

Being a PBB alumni himself, Sam only had praises for Melai and Jason’s loveteam. “Both of them are very raw but natural. Galing din ako ng PBB kaya alam kong nararamdaman nila as newcomers in showbiz.”

Also starring Jon Avila, Precious Lara Quigaman, Bobby Andrews, Long Mejia, Yayo Aguila, Raquel Villavivencio and Izzy Canillo, PHR presents Impostor is under the direction of Jerome Chavez Pobocan.

Don’t miss the newest afternoon craze, PHR presents Impostor starting May 17, 5:20pm, after PBB Teen Clash 2010 UBER on ABS-CBN.
