She’s dubbed as the Fil-Am Pop Princess and she’s the chosen one to sing the Philippine National Anthem at the Pacuiao-Mayweather bout this Saturday, May 2, 2015 (May 3 in Manila).

The 19-year-old New Yorker will be the lead singer for Manny Pacquiao’s singing pastors who will also sing “Lupang Hinirang” at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Banawis has been known performing in front of Filipino celebrities who are holding a concert in the US like Billy Crawford, KZ Tandingan, Arnel Pineda, Kyla, Charice, Sarah Geronimo, Martin Nievera and Regine Velasquez. She also appeared on the popular children’s show “Sesame Street.”
