‘Bistado’ Helps Aggrieved Senior Citizens

“Bistado,” anchored by veteran broadcast journalist Julius Babao, helps two aggrieved senior citizens in its episode this Monday (Feb 17).

One of them is 64-year-old Alfonso, a retired janitor, who was swindled out of thousands of pesos by a friend for his supposed SSS pension. Alfonso, who is unable to read or write, entrusted his friend with the processing of his SSS pension as he doesn’t have a family.
Will Alfonso be able to get his money back?

A 68-year-old market vendor, meanwhile, is complaining that she is being obliged to pay P300 for the daily rent of her stall even though she finds it hard to earn P300 a day. She later found out that she’s been cheated by collectors who have been charging her extra rental fee.
