“I am more than just an eye candy here,” This is the statement of Edward Mendez, the lone leading man of two leading ladies, Marian Rivera and AiAi Delas Alas in the upcoming action-comedy film, "Kung Fu Divas."

There would be a lot of Mendez in the comedy film, he told bloggers during the bloggers’ conference held at the ELJ Building of ABS-CBN on Wednesday, September 11.

Aside from showing his abs and sexy muscular body, which Delas Alas describes as “yummy” and him, “gifted”, Mendez said his role is different from other hunk stars that were previously cast alongside big stars like Rivera and Delas Alas.
