‘It Takes a Man and a Woman’ Rakes P371-M in 6 Weeks
In the last two weeks, “It Takes a Man and a Woman” slowed down at the box office because almost all theaters gave priority to the Hollwood superhero flick “Iron Man 3,” which as of this posting, had smashed several Philippine box office records like highest opening for 2013 and all time, highest 1st week earnings for 2013 and all time, etc. For the Labor Day Weekend alone, “Iron Man 3” hit P140.17 million to add to its 2-week total of P503.47 million topping Philippine Box Office on second consecutive week.
Meanwhile, “It Takes A Man and a Woman” settled for No. 2 in the list of Highest-Grossing Filipino Films of All Time as it failed to reach the P400 million-mark or surpass the existing record. The MMFF 2012 topgrosser “Sisterakas” remained the highest-grossing Pinoy movie of all time by virtue of its P391.4 million haul.
Here are the Top 10 movies in the Philippines for the time frame May 1 to 5, 2013 according to Box Office Mojo:
