Jesse Robredo’s Story is Now a Children’s Book Titled ‘Simply Jesse’
Jesse Robredo was mayor of Naga City for 19 years before being appointed by President Noynoy Aquino III to join his cabinet in 2010. Jesse believed that every Negueño must do his or her own part in helping make the city better that is why he led and worked by example. Jesse also lived in a simple and humble life. He was a loving and sweet husband to Leni Gerona Robredo, and a cool and supportive Papa to his daughters, Aika, Tricia and Jillian.
Written by Town & Country’s editor-in-chief Yvette Fernandez and illustrated by Nicole Lim, the story was based on interviews, speeches, and writings of the Robredo family, “Simply Jesse” tells the story of how Jesse’s honesty and integrity inspired millions of people to live better lives themselves.
