Brave. This could best described Monique Wilson as she recently came out and admitted that she’s gay. She also disclosed that she’s struggling with a chronic blood cancer. With these two revelations, this theater actress has inspired many to uphold bravery. Monique, in one of her interviews said that she has realized how important for the truth to come out in the midst of battling an illness that could take away her life. She wants to enjoy her life as who she is and savor freedom in the process. She wants to be an inspiration especially to the young people. She’s also a part of the “One Billion Rising” an advocacy which supports abused women all over the country. Truly, she is a brave influential individual.

 

8. BB Gandanghari

BB is everywhere nowadays – TV, twitter and society events. And you just can’t help but notice his presence. BB has gone along way indeed and the changes he took was enormous that we couldn’t dare to remember who he ‘was’ for he has successfully anchored who he ‘is’ today! And what’s most notable is how audacious he is on reaffirming what he wants and on how he wants to lead his life. Indeed BB is the definition of liberty. It is all apparent on his style and persona. He is indeed a person of influence that broke all the barriers, sailed through the waves amidst the naysayers and successfully attained liberation.
