Zac Efron Grace ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show,’ Raves About His PH Trip

Hollywood actor Zac Efron, on his latest guesting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, described his visit to the Philippines as the "best trip" of his life.

Efron shared with Ellen his short vacation in Legazpi City, Albay last week prior to his fan conference for Penshoppe in Manila.

“Since we got there, they put us on a helicopter and flew us to the top of a volcano. It was sort of a surprise. We got on these ATVs and we rode up the lava fields, up the trails of lava that flowed down a volcano, to the top of an active volcano. We had lunch on top of a volcano,” he raved.

Efron also shared that in the middle of nowhere, two Filipino girls came running out, jumping and screaming, to meet him.

“Believe it or not, we were in the middle of this base of a volcano near the jungle and still, even there, some fans came running out of the jungle. It was these two super cute little girls that just showed up. I couldn’t believe it. We hadn’t seen a face in like 30 miles and out of nowhere, they just come running out, jumping and screaming,” he said.

After his Fan Conference for Penshoppe last weekend, Efron mentioned on his last interview before going back to the US that his trip in the Philippines was “the best.”

“I’m so happy to finally be here. I’ve had the best trip of my life. Thank you for embracing me with open arms, such kindness. I cannot wait to come back,” he said.

The American heartthrob is the former boyfriend of Fil-Am singer/actress Vanessa Hudgens, his leading lady in Disney’s hit Telemovie “The High School Musical.” Aside from Vanessa, his Pinoy connection includes a family friend who brought his father in the Philippines some time ago.
