Broadcast journalist Ted Failon investigates the plight of Pinoy athletes who, after participating in the Palarong Pambansa, end up nowhere due to lack of support from the government this Saturday (May 12) in “Failon Ngayon.”

Ted listens to the story of Omar Ladzikan who will join Palarong Pambansa for the first time and compete in the sport Sepak Takraw. Omar depends on playing the said sport to be able to finish his studies.

Jeric Mercado, on the other hand, is on his third time joining the baseball in the Palarong Pambansa, but with his family’s lack of financial means to suipport his needs, he will go to the games using his broken shoes.

They are not alone in this ordeal because there are also many children who have trouble reaching their dreams of becoming athletes because of the lack of cooperation and support from the government. How will they be able to compete in various sports events? How will they finish their studies? What are the actions being taken by the government to solve the problem?
