Blake Lively and Taylor Kitsch Star in ‘Savages’

Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) and Taylor Kitsch (John Carter, Battleship) are set to star in the upcoming Oliver Stone movie "Savages."

“Savages” is a crime–thriller movie directed by Academy-award winning director Oliver Stone (Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July) which is partly shot in Indonesia. Remember the Taylor Kitsch controversy when the actor had mistaken Indonesia for Philippines a couple of months ago? This is the movie he was filming.

“Savages” is based on the novel of the same name by Don Winslow, who co-wrote the script with Stone and Shane Salerno. The film is set for release July 6, 2012, and also stars Aaron Johnson and John Travolta, alongside Kitsch and Lively.

Here is the plot of the movie:

When their shared hippie girlfriend, O (Blake Lively), is kidnapped, two marijuana growers — University of California, Berkeley graduate Ben (Aaron Johnson) and former U.S. Navy SEAL Chon (Taylor Kitsch) — confront a Mexican drug cartel to rescue her. Uma Thurman plays O’s mother and John Travolta plays a DEA agent.
