Kiddie Cooks Experiment with Balut in ‘Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition

The notorious balut is making a special appearance in “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition” this Sunday (Nov 27) as the kiddie cooks’ main ingredient in their Invention Test.

Check out how the skilled kids will add twist to the popular Filipino street food with their original and unique creations.

After tomorrow’s (Nov 26) elimination where one kiddie cook will bid goodbye to the culinary competition, the remaining eleven kids will be divided into two groups and clash in a “boxing match” to recreate a surf and turf dish, a main course that combines meat and seafood. The two competing teams will be mentored by guest chefs Carlo Miguel and Hasset Go, two of the youngest and most talented chefs in the country today.

Find out who among the Super 12 kiddie cooks will be the first to be eliminated in the search for the very first Pinoy Junior MasterChef.

Meanwhile, data from Kantar Media show that “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition” ruled all Sunday programs for the first time last November 20 when it hit a national average rating of 21.3%. It also trampled GMA 7’s “Manny Many Prizes” last Saturday (Nov 19), as it has been doing week by week, when it garnered a national rating of 24.9%, crushing GMA7’s “Manny many Prizes,” which only got 15.6%.
