‘Cake Boss’ Star Remigio Gonzalez to be Arraigned on Sex Assault Charges
32-year-old Remigio “Remy” Gonzalez who is a former cast member of TV show “Cake Boss” will be arraigned by Superior Court Judge Stuart Minkowitz in Morris County courtroom on June 15, 2011 on charges of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.
Gonzalez was indicted by a grand jury on April 21 with three counts of aggravated sexual assault and another 12 counts that include aggravated criminal sexual contact and child endangerment. This is in reference to the Confection’s Decorator’s alleged abuse of a 14-year-old girl in Hoboken, East Hanover and Florham Park between July 1, 2009, and March 8, 2010. The charges carries a possible sentence of 20 years in prison.
According to reports, the police investigation began after the victim reported to relatives August of last year that Gonzalez sexually assaulted her. The “Cake Boss” cast-member was eventually arrested and has not been able to post his $300,000 bail to be freed from the county jail.

“Cake Boss” is a reality TV series, airing on the cable network TLC. Set at Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey, the show mainly follows Buddy Valastro, his mother, four sisters, and three brothers-in-law, as they operate their business, with a focus on how they make their cakes.
Cake Boss, which had an average of 2 million viewers in season one and two, has resulted in increased business for Carlo’s Bake Shop, and increased tourism to the Hoboken area. The success of the show has also led to two spin-off reality competitions namely “Next Great Baker” and “Kitchen Boss.”
In the first season, Remigio “Remy” Gonzalez appeared on the show as Buddy’s (the star of Cake Boss) left-hand man and the ex-husband of Buddy’s sister Lisa. Remy’s first and only child, daughter Isabella, was born on the Cake Boss episode “Mother’s Day, Mama and Mom-to-be”.

Well Truth BE TOLD that Remy and Lisa were going through marital problems and she put him there his family in Mexico are very humble and poor and Buddy and the Velastro Family being the racial italian that they are backed the sister up. See the Cake Boss episode were Remy is making the egipcian pyramid and he comes down on him for making 4 sides to the pyramid and Buddy comes down on him asking him that if that’s a Mexican pyramid making fun of him. These Racial Italians are conspiring because they think they made him and own him they’ll destroy him which they did!

Why would a child lie about this? By the way why would a 32 year old man have any kind of private contact with a 14 year old girl? Sounds wrong on many levels. Plus I notice no one in the family is bailing him out so they must not believe he is innocent. If your own family doubts you, then you have problems. Sad story all around.

i wonder how easy it is for a child to say that man sexually harass me? how could you prove your innocents? that would make a great hollywood movie, the ending would be sad because he gets life in prison, starring sean penn.

@lkw, seriously- that’s pretty harsh. If he is indeed guilty and convicted (remember INNOCENT til PROVEN guilty), he should and will be punished. But why punish the Valastro family for the acts of one person? …especially when that person isn’t even on the show anymore.
