Ex-PBB Teen Housemate Ann Li Wins in Shorty Awards 2011

Ann Li emerged as the winner in the Fasion category of the 3rd Shorty Awards.

Ann Li was a “Teen-ternational housemate” on ABS-CBN’s reality program Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010. She’s pure Taiwanese living here in the Philippines.

In the fashion category of the 3rd Shorty Awards, known as the Oscars for Twitter users, Ann Li only ranked fifth among the nominees for getting 329 votes. Harry Styles topped this category with 3,385 votes but the judges picked the “Taiwanese-Pinay” as the winner.

Ann Li (@thisisAnnLi) bested Hollywood stars in the Fashion category like Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift.

In the Actress category, our very own Angel Locsin ranked first with 1,196 votes but the judges picked Stana Katic as the winner.

Other Pinoys who figured in the 3rd Shorty Awards include Charice who placed 16th in the Celebrity category, Daniel Razon who placed 6th in the Journalist category and Cher Calvin, who settled at no. 11, also in the Journalist category.

On the other hand, Filipino nurse Ronivin Pagtakhan won in the Nurse category, tied with Matthew Browning. He topped the category with 410 votes from the public.

The Shorty Awards, known as the Oscars for Twitter users, announced this year’s winners in 36 categories last March 28 in New York City.
