Angel Locsin is Finalist in Best Twitter Celebrity of the Shorty Awards

Young superstar Angel Locsin is nominated in the 2010 Shorty Awards, a competition for real-time, short-form content.

Shorty Awards, considered the Oscars for Twitter writers, announced the list of finalists, and our very own Angel Locsin was nominated in the Best Twitter Celebrity category. Angel, with Twitter address @143redangel, is competing against Ivete Sangalo @ivetesangalo, Nathan Fillion @NathanFillion, Claudia Leitte @ClaudiaLeitte, Stephen Fry @stephenfry and David Hewlett @dhewlett.

Another pinoy was nominated in this year’s Shorty Awards. Daniel Razon, on the other hand, was nominated in the Best Journalist in Twitter. Daniel whose Twitter address is @DanielRazon is competing against William Bonner @realwbonner, Jeremy Scahill @jeremyscahill, Rachel Maddow MSNBC @maddow, Dan Matteush @Matteush, and Steven Ertelt @StevenErtelt.

The 2010 Shorty Awards is happening on March 3 at the Times Center in The New York Times Building.

Over 250,000 nominations have been tweeted for The Shorty Awards to determine the six finalists in each of the 26 official categories which include Advertising, Apps, Customer Service, Design, Entertainment, Health, Humor, Literature, Music, News, Politics, etc.
