Angel Locsin and Bea Alonzo to Star in ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ the Movie

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the longest-running and top-rating drama anthology on ABS-CBN, a new MMK movie is in the works.

“Maalaala Mo Kaya”, the longest-running drama anthology on Philippine television is celebrating its 20th anniversary this coming May. And to cap the celebration is a production of another MMK movie to hit the big screens.

The first MMK movie was shown in 1994 starring starring Aiko Melendez, Richard Gomez and Chin Chin Gutierrez under the direction of Olivia Lamasan. This year, Star Cinema is planning to produce another movie based on the top-rating drama anthology of all time.

Showbiz News Ngayon‘s Bianca Gonzalez revealed on Twitter that Imortal star Angel Locsin and Magkaribal star Bea Alonzo are starring in the said film. The director will be no other than Laurenti Dyogi.

    Dapat award winning director ang ip[ahawak ng star cinema, sayang kasi. It wwould be an award winning movie for sure. Choose olivia lamasan or rory quintos. ABS please, pang teen movie lang si dyogi, wala pa syang napapatunayan. SAYANG TALAGA!!!
