Sarah Geronimo Tops 23rd Aliw Awards
After 4 years of domination by musical couple Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid, the highly-coveted Entertainer of the Year award was finally captured by a kapamilya star – Sarah Geronimo.
Sarah is having a hard time recently being struck with a series of bad luck: her father was almost kidnapped, her teleserye iDOL is ending this week because of poor ratings and her 3rd movie with John Lloyd Cruz was shelved by Star Cinema.
Hopefully, the streak of bad luck was shattered when she won Best Major Concert (Female) and the highest honor, Entertainer of the Year, at the Aliw Awards last Monday night, October 18, 2010, at the Manila Hotel.
