Charice Performs MJ Tribute with Ne-Yo, Scores Another Standing Ovation
The said performance with Ne-Yo happened during the “One and Only Hit-Man David Foster and Friends” concert in Las Vegas last October 15.
Charice and Ne-Yo sang “Earth Song” as a tribute to the King of Pop Michael Jackson.
Aside from the Earth Song, one of the most applauded performances of the night was Charice‘s rendition of Celine Dion‘s “All By Myself.”
Apparently, David Foster had made a mistake in the song. He confessed to the audience that he had failed to tell Charice of the change in the song arrangement in the end, and thus after the performance he apologized to Charice, who was seemed a bit confused.
But the audience were not able to recognize what happened because Charice was able to catch the new arrangement and belted a sustained high F in the last high note. The audience stood and cheered for more than 30 seconds afterwards.
A fan who noticed the little “confusion” asked Charice on Twitter what really happened.
The Glee star twitted back:
“DavidF didn’t tell me that he removed 4 bars at the last part of the song. I understand. He’s a pretty busy Hitman! :)”
