It's battle of the sexes once again on American Idol.

It’s been male versus female on American Idol 4 times since the beginning. We saw Justin Guarini versus Kelly Clarkson in season 1; Bo Bice versus Carrie Underwood in season 4; Katharine McPhee versus Taylor Hicks in season 5; and Blake Lewis versus Jordin Sparks in season 6.

Of the four duels, season 4 was the only time the viewers voted for the male contestant. Will this season be the second?

In the past 8 seasons of American Idol, the titles were divided 50/50 by both male and female. Who will break the tie? Will Crystal follow the footsteps of Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks? Or will Lee follow the footsteps of Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks, David Cook and Kris Allen?
