One of the most watched series in the United States, Cougar Town invades the Philippines to liven up our Tuesday nights starting February 23, 9:00pm on Velvet.

Recently nominated at the Golden Globe for her role, Courtney Cox once again proves her comedy chops as TV’s newest vixen. She plays Jules, a newly divorced single mother. She explores the honest truths about growing older and dating as a 40-something woman in a beauty and youth obsessed culture. After raising a 17-year old son, she is now ready to embark on her journey of self-discovery. Jules takes on the responsibilities of motherhood marriage while dating younger men. After all, 40 is the new 20.

The show has received rave reviews and positive feedback from various critics. Los Angeles Times’ Mary McNamara said that the “maddening thing about Cougar Town is that it isn’t completely unfunny or uncharming.” USA Today complimented the show for having “the right cast and good writing.” Variety stated that the show “does feed into the dual sense of insecurity and self-empowerment that women harbor about getting older … though, the execution here is consistently about as subtle as a kick to the groin.” Entertainment Weekly states that “Cougar Town is so brashly vulgar, it’s endearing.”

Cougar Town also stars Christa Miller as Ellie (Jules’ next door neighbor and best friend), Busy Philipps as Laurie (Jules’ young feisty employee), Dan Byrd as Travis (Jules’ 17-year old son), Josh Hopkins as Grayson (a bartender and Jules’ other neighbor), Ian Gomez as Andy (Ellie’s husband), and Brian Van Holt as Bobby (Jules’ unemployed ex-husband).

Shot at Culver Studios in Culver City, California, the comedy series is created by Executive Producers/Writers Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel of the popular funny program Scrubs. Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette are also executive producers of the show.
