Legendary Hollywood martial artist Jet Li is featured in a multi-million peso commercial for SMB. And the said commercial has been circulating in our tv screens for quite a while now. The tv spot is 90% action-packed and has only four words to say in the end as its punchline, "Great move! Great Beer!" Not to mention an extra appearance of Pambansang kamao Manny Pacquiao for about 2.5 seconds. So what more can i say about this commercial? Four words: I don't like it. Don't get me wrong. I think the production of this commercial is quite good. But they should have put more substance to the concept like the "moves" Jet Li has to take to get to the Philippines and find the best beer in the world. But of course, he didn't show his martial arts prowess just to impress the girl and the drooling Manny Pacquiao. He's here for the beer and for the big bucks SMB has to pay to get him.
