Dingdong Dantes has just turned 26 last August 2. “I was 19 when i started on TGIS and that was seven years ago,” he says. “Since then, ang dami nang nangyari sa career ko. My only regret is that I wasn’t able to get a college degree. I’m still trying, though. Hindi pa naman huli at on leave lang ako sa Ateneo.”

He has done many movies but he considers his role in Eternity the most demanding so far. They took a series of workshops to be more familiar with the period that they portray and even had to learn to speak Spanish, ride a horse and fight with a sword. He also did the stunts in the movie like nung pinakaladkad siya sa kabayo—that was no double! And how to forget his first bed scene ever (with Iza Calzado).

And now, his biggest break ever, the Atlantika lead will surely put Dingdong in the roster of hottest actors of our generation. Nagpapayat siya ng todo because he’s wearing a body-hugging costume in this newest telefantasya hit of GMA 7. He even learned how to swim and to make “sisid” to the max for his role in Atlantika. The telefantasya premiered last Monday and so far the rating is good and is bound to cross the 40% mark like its predecessor series Majika, Encantadia, Darna and Captain Barbell.
