Jae Laurent Sets the Tone for a New Era with an Upcoming Release
South Bay, Davao City. Emerging artist Jae Laurent is preparing to unveil his next release, introducing a new chapter defined by authenticity, ambition, and honest storytelling.
Drawing inspiration from hip hop, R&B, pop, electronic, house, and punk, Jae Laurent refuses to be confined by a single genre. Instead, each song reflects his mindset in the moment, whether it carries confidence, vulnerability, or introspection. For him, music is more than entertainment. It is a space to express the thoughts and emotions he rarely says out loud.
Raised in South Bay, Davao City after spending much of his childhood moving from one province to another, Jae Laurent’s life experiences continue to shape his songwriting. His music blends English, Filipino, and Bisaya, staying true to both his roots and his identity.
Now creating under Diorama and learning under the mentorship of Daddy A, Jae Laurent continues to develop his sound while remaining committed to authenticity over trends. Influenced by artists like The Weeknd but grounded in his own story, he hopes his music gives listeners something real to connect with.
His upcoming release offers another glimpse into his evolving artistry, combining confidence with honest reflection. As anticipation builds, the record marks the beginning of an exciting new era for Jae Laurent and signals that there is much more to come.
Lowkey
Jae Laurent
Yeah, your mans tryna be like me
Tryna steal my swag pero ‘di maamin
Kanilang mata sa’kin dumadapi
Pwedeng magyabang, rather keep it lowkey
(All I ever want is)
Pretty girls, dope chains, make money
Fast cars, fast life
Mala Wu-Tang Clan “Cash Rules Everything Around Me”
But I keep it lowkey
(But I keep it lowkey)
Hold up, take a breath, wait a minute
‘Di lang hanginon, pero naa ni dala
Gikan pa DVO, I’m bringin’ pride to the city
But I keep it lowkey
(But I keep it lowkey)
Ayaw nag palag uh, ay’ nag pangutana
Undangi sigeg tawag dili namo na kailangan
Bumabalagbag, JAE LAURENT at DIORAMA
Pag pasok namin sa club, ayaw na ug katingala nga
Yeah, your mans tryna be like me
Tryna steal my swag pero ‘di maamin
Kanilang mata sa’kin dumadapi
Pwedeng magyabang, rather keep it lowkey
(All I ever want is)
Pretty girls, dope chains, make money
Fast cars, fast life
Mala Wu-Tang Clan “Cash Rules Everything Around Me”
But I keep it lowkey (But I-)
Mala Kanye West, pare, galing to sa south
‘Di pa masabing ako best, papunta pa lang sa top
Rather do it my way, gotta keep my swag
JAE LAURENT up next, ‘lam mo na, no doubt
Always keepin’ it a hunnid, yeah, wag na magtaka
Aking numbers dumadami, huh, haters ko wassup
I’d rather do it my way, gotta keep my swag
Jae Laurent up next, lam mo na, no doubt
Yeah, your mans tryna be like me
Tryna steal my swag pero ‘di maamin
Kanilang mata sa’kin dumadapi
Pwedeng magyabang, rather keep it lowkey
