National Book Store (NBS), the country’s largest bookstore chain, proudly presents the return of its flagship literary event: Philippine Readers & Writers Festival (PRWF) from August 14 to 16, 2026 (Friday to Sunday).
It is now happening at the 2nd and 3rd floors of the NBS Building in Araneta City Cubao, easily accessible via the MRT and other public transport options. This year’s Festival is the largest iteration in history, featuring over 40 events celebrating Filipino creativity, literature, and storytelling. And as with previous events, entry is free!

About the Festival
First launched in 2013, the Philippine Readers & Writers Festival was developed as a space for authors and bookworms to connect with each other. It was held in person from 2013 to 2019 and transitioned to an online format in 2020 and 2021.
Over the years, it has hosted dozens of world-renowned authors, artists, and creatives — including international bestselling guests such as Amy Tan, Anna Todd, Mark Z. Danielewski, Pierce Brown, and Viet Thanh Nguyen and Pulitzer Prize-winning writers… . It has also showcased Philippine literary giants like acclaimed historian Ambeth Ocampo, National Artist Ricky Lee, and many more.
