TV5’s First Dramaserye ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’ Premieres this February 7

In the tradition of the most heart-moving Filipino soap operas of all time, TV5 introduces its first dramaserye Babaeng Hampaslupa, a compelling story of three women from two different worlds whose lives are intertwined by fate.

Driven by their quest to fight for love, ambition and the hope to find true happiness in life, they will engage viewers in their riveting emotional journey of heartbreak, compassion and forgiveness every night starting February 7.

As its first venture into the genre of primetime drama, TV5 presents no less than a powerhouse cast led by the Queen of Philippine Movies, Ms. Susan Roces. She will give life to the role of the strong-willed Helena See, a woman driven by her motivation to recover from her painful past and reclaim what is rightfully hers.

The first TV series to delve into the strict traditions of the Chinese-Filipino or Chinoy culture, Babaeng Hampaslupa is a stirring drama that revolves around the conflict between two families and the complications it brings to the lives of the people around them.

Philippine showbiz’s icon of timeless beauty Alice Dixson makes her TV comeback in Babaeng Hampaslupa as Diana, a simple worker who fell in love and gave birth to the sole heiress of the Wong family, a rich Chinoy clan.

New primetime drama princess Alex Gonzaga takes on the biggest challenge in her career as she plays the role of Grace, Diana’s daughter who was abducted as a child and raised by a poor couple in the slums of Tondo. How will Helena See affect the lives of Diana and Grace? Will she be her ally or will she be the cause of their misery?

The three female leads of Babaeng Hampaslupa are joined by a stellar cast led by Jay Manalo, Bing Loyzaga, Freddie Webb, Christian Vasquez, Karel Marquez, Celso Ad Castillo, Vandolph, Jenny Quizon, Susan Africa, Julio Diaz, Dolphy Jr, Anne Villegas, and Sheila Marie Rodriguez. Playing the roles of the two men who will love and be loved by Alex Gonzaga’s character are Alwyn Uytingco and Martin Escudero.

Helmed by directors Eric Quizon and Bb. Joyce Bernal, Babaeng Hampaslupa is set to introduce a new kind of primetime dramaserye that viewers will look forward to night after night. Babaeng Hampaslupa premieres this February 7 and airs weeknights after Willing Willie on TV5.

    anung saysay ng isang programa kung hindi naman ito mapanuod ng sambayanan.kahit anung ganda ng produksyon o galing ng mga artista kung kakaunti naman ang makakapanood at makakapaapreciate nun, balewala din ang lahat! i think dapat pagtuunan muna ng tv5 ang pagpapaayos ng kanilang reception sa buong bansa bago sila magproduce ng malaking programa. para naman maapreciate ng madlang pipol ang mga inooffer nitong mga bagong teleserye o palabas. may potential ang show na ito pero di ko naman mapapanuod kasi walang tv5 dito sa aming bahay…sobrang labo ng reception d2!

    This show seems has the potential but I doubt if it will make any news.. The lead star seems not so good.. even though there ae big stars all around to support…

    Another thing ..they are with a big fight and the reception of ABC 5 is not good.. Since this is a drama ..they should have get the weekend first where there are no rivals yet..

    xempre nagsisimula p lng nman cla kaya cguro ung iba jan hndi pa kilala ang ibang cast…pero as wat i observed…maraming magagandang shows ang tv5…
