‘Smile Care is Self-Care’—Heart Evangelista on the Perfect Smile Launch

Self-care looks different for everyone. For Heart Evangelista, it includes the simple routines that help her feel fresh, comfortable, and ready for the day.

During the recent Perfect Smile 4-in-1 Total Oral Care Launch, the actress, artist, and fashion icon shared how oral care has become a natural part of her daily routine. With a lifestyle that often involves travel, shoots, meetings, and public appearances, she believes that small everyday habits can have a meaningful impact on how a person feels.

For Heart, maintaining a healthy smile is one of those habits.

“A smile is one of the first things people notice,” she shared during the event. While many people associate smile care with whitening, Heart believes it goes beyond appearance. Feeling fresh, comfortable, and ready to interact with others can influence how a person approaches the day.

That idea is also reflected in Perfect Smile’s 4-in-1 Total Oral Care approach, which focuses on whitening teeth, freshening breath, providing antibacterial protection, and helping maintain healthy teeth and gums. Instead of looking at oral care as just a whitening step, the concept encourages a more complete way of caring for the whole smile.

The conversation reflected a growing shift in how people think about self-care. Today, wellness is no longer limited to skincare or fitness routines. More consumers are embracing a holistic approach—one that includes habits that support overall health and well-being.

Joining Heart during the discussion was dental expert Dr. Gino Saracho, who emphasized that oral care should involve more than simply achieving a brighter smile. According to him, maintaining fresh breath, healthy teeth and gums, and proper oral hygiene are all important parts of caring for the whole smile.

Guests also had the opportunity to learn practical oral care tips and ask questions about common concerns such as coffee and tea stains, fresh breath, and maintaining a simple routine despite a busy schedule.
What resonated throughout the event was the idea that good oral care does not have to be complicated. Much like other wellness practices, it often comes down to consistency and making time for small habits that support long-term health.
As conversations around beauty and wellness continue to evolve, oral care is increasingly becoming part of a broader self-care routine. It is not only about how a smile looks, but also about how it makes a person feel.

For Heart, that is what self-care is all about—taking time to care for yourself in ways that help you feel your best every day.
And sometimes, that starts with a smile.
