Westlife to Hold Exclusive Concert in Yogyakarta, Featuring Christian Bautista as Opening Act
Westlife, the iconic Irish pop group of the 90s, has officially announced a series ofshows in Southeast Asia. Their concept show, titled “The Hits Tour 2024,” will kick off inIndonesia on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the historic Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta.
Indonesia, known for its massive Westlife fan base, will serve as the primary location forthe tour, marking a special tribute to their Indonesian supporters. Adding to theexcitement, Christian Bautista, who is similarly popular in the country, has been chosenas the opening act.
On Instagram, show promoter Otello Asia expressed their enthusiasm about havingChristian on board– “We are very excited to announce that @xtianbautistawill be aspecial guest at #WESTLIFEPRMBANAN2024!! Do you have any special song requestsfor Christian’s performance?,” they captioned their post.
Christian’s appearance is expected to amplify the excitement of Westlife’s “The HitsTour 2024.” Known for his hit song “The Way You Look At Me,” which catapulted him tofame in Indonesia, Christian is sure to delight the local audience.
Otello Asia also revealed that Westlife has prepared a spectacular show for their fans.The group, consisting of Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Kian Egan, and Mark Feehily, willbring a fresh concept to the concert. Unfortunately, Mark Feehily will not be attendingthe concert due to health reasons but hopes to rejoin after his recovery.
