Sampaguita holds a special place in the hearts of the people of San Pedro — it is not only the national flower but also an integral part of the local culture and economy. Recognizing its cultural significance and economic potential, Mayor Art Mercado has long been committed to revitalizing the Sampaguita industry in the city. Henry Salazar expressed his gratitude to P.A. Properties for its contribution, emphasizing the significant role it plays in the revival of the Sampaguita industry.

According to Sergio Igonia Jr., the Sampaguita Plantation Master, they are looking ahead with plans to develop the land into a Southside glamping area, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience Sampaguita cultivation firsthand. The vision includes activities such as bonfires and Sampaguita harvesting, providing a blend of relaxation and cultural immersion.IN PHOTOS: Actual Sampaguita planting joined by San Pedro, Laguna’s stakeholders.
