‘Rewind’ Receives Commendation from the Senate, Streams on Netflix in March
The Philippine Senate congratulated and commended the artists and production team of the country’s highest-grossing film “Rewind,” which will start streaming on Netflix this March 25.
Sen. Robin Padilla, in his Senate Resolution No. 909, emphasized the film’s role in revitalizing the Philippine film industry.
“This achievement is a testament to the return of a vibrant and flourishing Philippine film industry – attributed to the hard work and commitment of artists, writers, directors, and all members of the production teams,” he said.
Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, director Mae Cruz Alviar, Kris Gazmen and Marizel Martinez of Star Cinema, Jojo Oconer and Michael Tuviera of APT Entertainment were present to receive a copy of the Senate resolution during the ceremony.
Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva praised “Rewind” for highlighting the importance of expressing love in everyday life.
“Nais kong magpugay sa kanila at higit doon nais kong ipahayag ang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa isang bagong pag asang ibinigay kahit sa ating mga manonood na Pilipino sa kinabukasan ng sining at kultura dito sa ating bansa,” she said.
