‘The Clash’ Season 4 Champion Mariane Osabel Drops Debut Single ‘Pira-Piraso’

After winning the fourth season of GMA Network’s reality singing competition “The Clash” last December, Mariane Osabel finally released her debut single “Pira-Piraso” under GMA Music.

“Pira-Piraso” talks about someone who gave her all in her previous love and left devastated after it ended that’s why she’s she couldn’t open her heart for someone new.

During the blogcon for the single launch, Mariane revealed that she can relate to its message fully based from her own experience.

“Pira-piraso is about healing and moving on. Ano po kasi ito e, personal experience. Exposing a little part of myself. Ang highlight po talaga sa kanta is ‘gusto ko nang, kung magmamahal ako buong buo, ayoko nang pira-pirasong pagmamahal kasi I want to love someone ng taong ‘yun ng full na pagmamahal, hindi ‘yung pira-piraso,'” she said.

Mariane admitted that she felt nervous on the release of her first single.

“Kinakabahan nga po ako kahapon, ano kaya magiging reception ng song, magugustuhan kaya siya ng mga tao? Pero ang sabi naman ng mga supporters ko sobrang happy po nila sa ‘Pira-piraso’ sobrang na-inspired po sila so at last sobrang relieved din kasi nga po hinahanap-hanap po ng mga supporters ko ‘o Mariane, nasa’n na ba ‘yung single mo? Kailan mo ba ilalabas? Kaya, sobrang happy and grateful po talaga ako sa GMA Music, dahil nabigyan po ako ng opportunity na magrelease ng sarili kong song,” she revealed.

“Pira-piraso” actually debuted at no. 3 on iTunes Philippines chart on the day of its release and it’s an impressive feat for a new artist trying to penetrate the highly competitive music scene in our country. The future is indeed bright to this young singer who emerged victorious in singing competitions, from “Tawag ng Tanghalan” to “The Clash,” and now to becoming an up and coming recording artist that will conquer the airwaves.

“Pira-piraso” is now available on all digital streaming platforms worldwide.
