The New Kapuso show “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” is so worth your time. The romance-drama series revolves around the story of Celeste (Heart Evangelista), a young woman from Sorsogon who has reinvented herself in Manila as a fashion designer and socialite.

Since ILMHIS premiered last November 15, the series earned positive feedbacks from televiewers by virtue of its high ratings. And aside from that, here are five reasons why you should never miss an episode of this highly-recommended program:

1. I Left My Heart In Sorsogon keeps on winning everyone’s hearts with its story about love and family.

Celeste is successful on both the personal and professional front. Aside from being a celebrated fashion designer, she is also the toast of high society as she is dating the most eligible bachelor around, Tonito Wenceslao III (Richard Yap).

Despite her success in Manila, Celeste finds herself coming back to her hometown, Sorsogon, to take care of some family matters. While she looks back on her previous life there and makes a discovery about herself, she also unexpectedly crosses paths again with her ex-boyfriend, Mikoy (Paolo Contis).

The premise and the characters are very relatable because of the way ILMHIS tackles love for family and the matters of the heart.

As the province of Sorsogon takes the spotlight for becoming the setting of Celeste’s homecoming story, its beautiful sceneries were captured effortlessly by the production team. 3. Heart Evangelista’s comeback primetime show.

The last time Heart graced primetime television was in 2018’s “My Korean Jagiya.” We’re accustomed to have a new Heart Evangelista-starrer every year but this time it took 3 years before she made a comeback.

4. MavLine’s chemistry.

Even in the teaser photos before the ILMHIS premiere we already knew that a new loveteam is born. The side couple, played by Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi, known for their moniker “MavLine” adds more ‘kilig’ in the story.

Kyline portrays the role of Tiff Wenceslao, Tonito’s daughter while Mavy is Basti Estrellado, Celeste’s estranged half-brother. The way these two characters meet delights the younger demographic. The result: Several fan groups emerged because of Kyline and Mavy’s team-up.

5. Unexpected chemistry between Heart E. and Paolo Contis.

While the chemistry of Heart Evangelista and Richard Yap is undeniable, Paolo Contis creates a second lead syndrome by forming his own chemistry with Heart. This divides the viewers to Team Tonito vs Team Mikoy and it makes viewers wonder who will be Celeste’s endgame.
