Kapamilya divas Angeline Quinto and Jona are bringing back the classic OPM tunes “Huwag Kang Mangamba” and “Init sa Magdamag” as the theme songs of the newest ABS-CBN teleseryes of the same titles.

Angeline proves anew that she’s the country’s “Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs” with her serene yet striking take on the religious song “Huwag Kang Mangamba,” originally composed by Fr. Manoling Francisco S.J. and now produced by ABS-CBN creative director Jonathan Manalo.

Aside from lending her voice for the theme song of the Dreamscape Entertainment production top billed by “The Gold Squad” Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, and Kyle Echarri, Angeline also stars in the series that is set to air on primetime starting this week and will showcase God’s unconditional love through the intertwined fate of blind orphan Mira (Andrea) and rebellious teen Joy (Francine) who experience “Bro’s” miracle after escaping death.

Meanwhile, Jona’s emotion-packed rendition of “Init sa Magdamag,” which was composed by Willy Cruz and popularized by Sharon Cuneta, further heats up the upcoming eponymous romance drama series produced by Star Creatives.

The daring ABS-CBN series led by Gerald Anderson, Yam Concepcion, and JM De Guzman will revolve around an intriguing storyline that weaves politics and romance and is also set to air this summer.

Over the years, Angeline and Jona have both been frequently tapped to sing the official theme songs of various ABS-CBN teleseryes.

Jona was the voice behind the OST of “Ngayon at Kailanman” and “Pusong Ligaw” and she also sang “Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita” for the series “Asintado.”

Some of Angeline’s memorable renditions include the OST of “You’re My Home,” “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon,” and the song “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin” for the hit drama “The Legal Wife.”
