Lalisa Manoban, Named Ultimate ‘Asian Sweetheart of 2020’
After placing third last year, BLACKPINK member Lalisa Manoban (also known as “Lisa”) finally captured the title “Ultimate Asian Sweetheart” for Thailand in this year’s edition of the online poll.
It has been a tight battle between BLACKPINK members Jennie Kim of South Korea and Thailand’s Lalisa Manoban during the finals of “100 Asian Sweethearts 2020” online poll. In the end, the Thai K-pop idol emerged as the winner on December 31, 2020. Lalisa garnered a total of 192,837 votes beating 9 other finalists from across the region. Jennie is this year’s runner-up with 181,641 votes.
Lisa was Born as Pranpriya Manoban on March 27, 1997. In 2010, she auditioned to join YG Entertainment and among the 4,000 applicants, she was the only individual to pass. She became YG’s first non-ethnically Korean trainee in 2011. Five years after, Lisa debuted as one of four members of the hottest K-pop girl group BLACKPINK together with Jisoo, Jennie Kim and Rosé.
