BTS maintained its no. 1 position in the Brand Reputation Rankings for Idol Groups for the month of April according to the Korean Business Research Institute. The Big Hit Entertainment group scored a very high 9,901,733 points, more than 4 million ahead of second placer EXO who placed second this month with 5,243,982 reputation index. EXO climbs 3 notches up this April dislodging LOONA which peaked at no. 2 last March but dropped to 11th on this month’s rankings. BLACKPINK also maintained its 3rd position for this month.
ITZY and GFRIEND who ranked 6th and 7th, respectively, last March left the Top 30 this month to the advantage of MONSTA X and NU’EST which entered the Top 30 at no. 25 and 28, respectively. It’s interesting to note that MAMAMOO climbed 10 notches up to no. 4 this month while member SOLAR released her “Spit it Out” MV 2 days ago. Unfortunately for GOT7, despite the release of their new mini-album DYE, failed to enter the Top 30 this month.
The elements being considered for the rankings of 100 Idol groups are consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness.
