HBO Asia announced today that an all-star Taiwanese cast including Vivian Hsu (徐若瑄) (The Devil Fish 《人面魚:紅衣小女孩外傳》, Seediq Bale 《賽德克·巴萊》), David Wang (王耀慶) (Project Gutenberg 《無雙》, Extraordinary Mission 《非凡任務》) and Jason Wang (王識賢) (GATAO 2-The New Leader Rising 《角頭2:王者再起》, Murmur Of The Hearts 《念念》), will be starring in HBO Asia’s brand new sci-fi Original drama series, DREAM RAIDER 《獵夢特工》. Principal photography has also begun for the eight-part hour-long Mandarin series shot and filmed entirely in Taiwan. The series is executive produced by Hong Kong filmmaker, Cheang Pou-Soi (鄭保瑞). DREAM RAIDER 《獵夢特工》 is scheduled to premiere in 2019 on HBO Asia’s on-air, online and on-demand platforms.

Mr. Jonathan Spink, CEO of HBO Asia, says, “Following the success of our first Taiwanese drama series, THE TEENAGE PSYCHIC, we are looking forward to once again be working with the talented storytellers in Taiwan on a genre that we have never done before.” He further adds, “Science fiction is a genre that allows for limitless creativity and I can’t wait for our audience in the region to explore the futuristic realm and unknown possibilities of ‘dream-raiding’ with us.”

HBO Asia started producing its Original productions in 2012 and has since expanded their range of award-winning Asian Original productions to include series, movies and documentaries. DREAM RAIDER 《獵夢特工》 marks the network’s sixteenth Asian Original to date, with more slated to premiere in the coming years.
