‘DanRich’ Charms San Francisco Crowd at 23rd Pistahan Parade Festival
Now on its 23rd year, the annual two-day Pistahan Parade & Festival in Yerba Buena Gardens remains one of the largest Filipino cultural celebrations in the U.S. This year, it celebrated the theme of “Journey to the Heart of SoMA Pilipinas” as in April, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors officially designated a Filipino Cultural Heritage District in the city’s South of Market neighborhood. The designated area was named SoMA Pilipinas – bounded by Second, 11th, Market and Brannan streets.

ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC) underscored its longstanding partnership with organizer Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE) by participating in full force at the parade on Saturday and bringing the TFC Hour live on Sunday, headlined by the loveteam of Daniel Matsunaga and Erich Gonzales (DanRich) from the very popular TFC teleserye, “Be My Lady”. The real and reel life couple thoroughly charmed the crowd with their down-to-earth ways, high energy and eagerness to interact with the thousands of fans who came to watch them.
