During the press conference of their romantic movie “This Time” on Saturday, April 30, James Reid and Nadine Lustre react on the issue that Star Cinema pitted the John Lloyd Cruz-Jennylyn Mercado starrer “Just The 3 Of Us” against their film.

“This Time” from Viva Films and “Just The 3 Of Us” from Star Cinema will both open in cinemas nationwide on May 4, 2016 together with the 2nd week screening of “Captain America: Civil War.”

James Reid: “I always believe in healthy competition, but of course we’re surprised di ba? I really don’t know how to react.”

Nadine Lustre: “Same, nagulat din po ako, I don’t know how to react kasi first time. Ewan ko po, ako first time ko lang din po kasi na-experience na merong dalawang movies na same din po yung playdate nila but then we’re happy rin naman po kasi si Kuya John Lloyd din naman po yun but we’re not competing naman po against anyone so we’re just really excited and happy for sa This Time.”

Director Nuel Crisostomo Naval, however, expressed his sadness over the issue being a Kapamilya himself.
