The Mike Bon Gang Releases Music Video for Debut Single ‘Umaasa Pa Rin Ako’

The Mike Bon Gang, GMA Records’ newest pop rock band, has released the music video for their debut single “Umaasa Pa Rin Ako.” Written by the band’s lead vocalist–Mike Bon–the single also serves as the theme song of the new Koreanovela “Reply 1997” which is now airing on GMA Network.

Mike is also the composer behind the songs “Walang Hanggang” from the hit teleserye “Imortal” and “Wishing You’ll Be Mine,” a single by Sam Concepcion. In 2012, he formed a band with long-time friends Jonathan Catacutan (bass, vocals) and former Star Magic talent Cholo Escano (drums, vocals) and they named their band “The Mike Bon Gang” (TMBG).

Their self-titled debut album is composed of 10 original songs which the group wrote while doing gigs in various venues all over Metro Manila including Craft Rock & Grill, Cable Car in Bonifacio Global City, Makati and Tomas Morato, Skinny Mike’s and Speakeasy, The Glass Door, KPub Trinoma, Historia, The Pier, Relik, RJ Bistro, etc. The 9 other songs in their album are “Kapiling,” “Never Let Go,” “Abutin,” “Kahit Malayo,” “Relaks,” “Agos,” “Slippin’ Away,” “My Side,” and “Isigaw.”

“The Mike Bon Gang” the album is now available at leading record bars and on Lazada. The single “Umaasa Pa Rin Ako” and full album are also available for digital download on Amazon and iTunes, for streaming on Guvera, Deezer, Spotify and Apple Music.
