‘Trenderas’ Premieres Tonight, Offers a Musical Spectacle Featuring Music from Eraserheads

Tonight at 9:00PM, TV5 guarantees to give viewers a free concert experience like they have never felt before with the Kapatid Network’s newest offering, “Trenderas”, poised to unleash one unforgettable musical number after another – featuring all-time favorite hits of several OPM icons, led by the critically-acclaimed rock band, Eraserheads, as well as other popular songs from the APO Hiking Society, Aegis, and from many other local music legends.

“Trenderas” will also have viewers’ throwback feelings in full throttle as they watch former Eraserheads member, Raimund Marasigan, perform front and center once again, this time with the talented trio of the musical-drama-comedy program’s up-and-coming stars in Isabelle de Leon (as Isabelle), Katrina ‘Suklay Diva’ Velarde (as Diva) and Lara Maigue (as Lara).

In the program, Raimund will be playing the very special guest role as one of the head judges of the fictional nationwide singing competition, “The Next Pinoy Pop Icon”, where hundreds of hopefuls have auditioned, including the characters played by the three aforementioned girls. OPM pillars and award-winning singer-songwriters Kooky Chua and TV5’s very own Ogie Alcasid will also be joining forces with Raimund as the competition’s formidable judges.

The special 1-hour pilot telecast of “Trenderas” will be pulling out all the stops in treating viewers to a one-of-a-kind musical spectacle, which will be highlighted by fresh takes by the various cast members of well-loved OPM songs such as “Minsan” (originally by the Eraserheads), “Saan Na Nga Ba Ang Barkada” (Apo Hiking Society), “Luha” (Aegis), “Beer” (Itchyworms), “Ako Ang Nagwagi” (Dulce), and “Dito Ba” (Kuh Ledesma).
