At the back of our mind we wished, we silently wished it was just one of the death hoaxes circulating online. We wanted the legitimate news sources, CNN and New York Times, among others, to say it wasn’t true. But to no avail.

Just after a few minutes TMZ ran a story about Walker’s death, the whole world went crazy. Our last resorts who we wanted to belie the story did nothing but confirmed the news, and that include the 40-year old actor’s Facebook page that says:

“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide.”

“He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. ”

And we all died. Yup, we all died today. Especially his Filipino fans.
