TV5 Premieres Indie Films on Television via ‘Sine Ko 5ingko: Indie ‘To’

TV5 introduces another first on Philippine television, Filipino independent movies on TV via Sine Ko 5ingko: Indie 'To.

This coming Saturday, June 8, Mel Chionglo’s drama-thriller “Bente” will air, featuring Richard Gomez, Iza Calzado, and Jinggoy Estrada. On June 15, Paolo Contis plays a Swiss-trained culinary chef who takes on the challenge of cooking a good lechon and facing the drama of his family in “Litsonero.”

Premiering on June 22 will be “Manila,” a twinbill that pays tribute to two of the most influential directors in Philippine cinema, Lino Brocka and Ishmael Bernal. Piolo Pascual will star together with Rosanna Roces, Jay Manalo, and Alessandra de Rossi. Rounding up the films on June 29 is the Joel Lamangan-helmed film, “Fuschia,” that stars Gloria Romero, Armida Siguion-Reyna, Robert Arevalo, and Eddie Garcia.

Catch Sine Ko 5ingko: Indie ‘To every Saturday, 9pm only on TV5.
