GMA 7’s Artist Center continues to ascertain its position as the premier talent development and management arm of the network with the various honors and accolades given to its homegrown talents from three award-giving bodies this year.

Kim Rodriguez

Leading the roster of winners is fast-rising Kapuso star Kim Rodriguez who received her first acting award as the New Movie Actress of the Year at the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Movies last March 10 at the AFP Theater. Kim was recognized for her performance in the indie film Mga Mumunting Lihim. Aside from Party Pilipinas, Kim presently headlines the Afternoon Prime series, “Kakambal ni Eliana.” Kim was also one of the nominees for Best Breakthrough Performance by an Actress for her performance in “Oros” during the 2013 Golden Screen Awards for Movies.

Two of GMAAC’s sought-after teen stars Joyce Ching and Ruru Madrid received the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award during the 61st Film Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards last April 21. GMAAC’s child star Barbara Miguel brought home the award for Best Child Actress for the indie film “Migrante.” Barbara became a household name after her memorable performance in the high-rating primetime drama “Munting Heredera.” Versatile actress Chynna Ortaleza was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for “Migrante.” Aside from being cast as a contravida in “Kakambal ni Eliana,” Chynna is also one of the mentors of GMAAC in its acting workshops.

At the 2013 Golden Screen Awards for Movies last April 27, talented young star Kristoffer Martin won his first major award as Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for “Oros.” Kristoffer currently appears in Party Pilipinas and Kakambal ni Eliana. Just like Marian. Binigyan na lang ng acting award. Kasi naman Nakatatlo na si Angel Locsin.

Para may masabing magaling daw umarte si Marian.
