Apl de Ap: “At first I was a little bit, you know, kind of intimidated. But we got to hang out last night, and they’re very nice people, I mean we got to share stories…it was fun!”

Lea Salonga: “I knew everybody, I mean I have worked with them previously. Met Apl a couple of times, met Bamboo during my guesting on ASAP, and I think I bumped to him in the mall coming out from Fully Booked checking out the graphic novels. But these are people you know of, here are the people you hear about and get excited about so when you actually get to see them up close and in person, it makes you even more excited to find out ‘ay ang bait bait pala.’ These are great people and they actually deserve the success that they have been achieving. It’s fun knowing that.”

Bamboo: “My first impressions were, of course it’s only been one night and I bumped into these guys several times already and I look forward to sort of hanging out more in the next few weeks and months…the first impressions were of course, awesome, it’s been a pleasure. I think what’s gonna be important is the chemistry, the bond, that we still have to build for the show itself para lang, just feels natural you know what I mean, it can’t be played. Kaya nga nangyari yung dinner kagabi, it’s something we had to do, to feel each other close, we talk with no distractions and eye on the prize, it’s what they say.”

Sarah Geronimo: “Im so bleeding right now. At first I was intimidated also like Apl, Apl my man right here, my man (laughs). Pero I was surprised na si Apl na isang international artist na katulad niya ay napaka down-to-earth, napaka-reachable, napaka-friendly, di ko akalain. Totoo ‘yun intimidated ako nung unang nalaman ko about the other judges, the other mentors, at sa tingin ko to the very last day intimidated pa rin ako pero we are here with one purpose, ‘yung mahanap nga ‘yung voice na yun, ‘yung the ‘voice of the Philippines.’ That will keep us united. We have one common goal, ‘dun kami magkakasundo-sundo.”
