‘Bistado’ Probes on Pinay Who was Almost Mauled to Death

Her brutal ordeal in the hands of a Korean who almost mauled her to death after nine days of captivity grabbed headlines recently.

In “Bistado” this Monday (Feb 18), 20-year old Filipina “Sophia” will tell anchor Julius Babao her harrowing experience and reveal how Kim Byung Yuk or “Nick Kim” hit her with a baseball bat, strangled her with a towel, and poked her eyes with his fingers then poured Korean wine on it.

According to “Sophia,” she met Kim through a common friend and accepted an invitation to drink in his place in Manila. Little did she know that she would be held captive and be beaten.

“Sophia” fortunately escaped and sought help from police authorities. Her revelations prompted another victim who suffered a similar fate to come out.

Witnesses also surfaced who linked him to the murder of 21-year-old Camille April Manaclang, whose body was found chopped inside a black suitcase in Laguna in March 2011.

How did “Sophia” escape? What other physical or emotional abuses were done to her by Kim?
