Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heussaff, Bianca King, & Rhian Ramos Topbill ‘Sosy Problems’
The light comedy movie stars Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heussaff, Bianca King and Rhian Ramos with Kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica.
“Sosy Problems,” which opened in nationwide theatres today, December 25, is about four rich and famous ladies and their seemingly trivial, but nevertheless, hilarious sources of stress.
Their main problem, however, is that their favorite hangout place, The Polo Club, which reminds them of all the memories of their “firsts” in life – including their first kisses and love affairs – is in danger of being torn down and replaced with a mall that is not so much for the rich and famous: in other words, not a “sosy” mall.
The “sosy” ladies will do everything they can in order to stop the Polo Club owners from pursuing their plans, and they will risk everything — even their poise and glamour – to achieve their goal. In the end, out of desperation, they make a fool out of themselves — and that’s the joke.
MEET THE SOSY GIRLS
Rhian Ramos (Lizzie)
Lizzie is the spoiled-rich daughter of a hotelier. A self-appointed leader of the Sosy group, Lizzie proposes a planking protest to stop the bulldozers from levelling their beloved Polo Club to the ground. However, along the way, she gets into trouble and this disappoints her family. In order to win back the favor of her family’s matriarch, Lizzie tries to impress her by living with her poor relatives. Being used to the luxuries of life, will she be able to survive the not-so-comfortable living conditions in the province?
Bianca King (Danielle)
Danielle is the daughter of an ex-politician who is on the brink of being impeached from office. All of the assets of Danielle’s family have been frozen while the litigation is going on and so her family is now living by whatever is left to them. Shocked by the sudden decline in her stature, Danielle finds it difficult to adjust to her laid-back lifestyle. Will she be able to finally come to grips with reality or will she continue to pretend that she is still a legit “sosy” girl? What if she meets the guy who will love her for who she is and not for how much she has, will she find the courage to accept her real status or will she stick to her plan of looking for a rich guy who can save her family from financial trouble?
Solenn Heussaff (Margaux) and Heart Evangelista (Claudia)
Margaux and Claudia are daughters of former beauty queens who have had a long standing unhealthy competition. From beauty to property, each one is secretly (albeit, obviously) wanting to get ahead of the other. What if one day they find out that they are running after the same man, Benjo (Aljur Abrenica), an all-around employee at the Polo Club, will this spell another disaster in their friendship? Will one of them be courageous enough to give up her chance at love in order to keep the friendship?
Also starring in the movie are Mikael Daez as Santi, Alden Richards as Iñigo, classy character actress Cherie Gil as Martina, Mylene Dizon as Bernice, Mikey Bustos as Denmark, Tim Yap as Jamie Yap, Agot Isidro as Glory, Maritoni Fernandez as Dada, Johnny Revilla as Gabriel, Ricky Davao as Sebastian, Nova Villa as Lola Patria, Barbie Forteza as Becca, Kristoffer Martin as Israel with the special participation of Ruffa Gutierrez as Luca.
