The star-studded science fiction film "Cloud Atlas" is showing in all SM Cinemas nationwide beginning December 5, 2012.

“Cloud Atlas,” based from the 2004 novel by David Mitchell, is a science fiction and drama film consists of six interrelated and interwoven stories that take the moviegoers from the South Pacific in the 19th century to a distant, post-apocalyptic future.

Written and directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski and Tom Tykwer, “Cloud Atlas” now considered as the most expensive independent film of all time with a $102 million production budget, features a stellar ensemble cast led by Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant, all appearing in multiple roles.

Distributed in the Philippines by Pioneer Films, “Cloud Atlas” opens in all SM theaters on December 5.
