Wako Wako Grants Wishes to Kapamilyas

Stars of Wako Wako, Luv U, and other Kapamilya shows raided Glorietta 5 Atrium to spread joy and happiness to our Kapamilyas.

They did not just prepare extravagant performances but Wako Wako also granted the wishes of our Kapamilyas in “Dear Wako, ano ang wish mo?” Casts of Wako Wako also thanked their fans who supported them throughout the entire series.

“Of course, I will miss our bonding. All of us in the set help each other and we have this kind of bond that will surely be missed,” Vandolph Quizon, who played Tatay Rodel, shared. And because the series will end by Friday, the cast spent the remaining days to help and make other people happy.

The event started when the hosts called Mirian Coronado, a barangay secretary in Laguna, who wished for school supplies for 50 children in her barangay. According to Coronado, the parents of the children that she wants to help are farmers and their family’s priority is food. She thought of helping the children because of the approaching start of classes. And because of her sincere wish, Wako didn’t think twice to grant this.

There was also one mother who was given a cellphone because of her daughter’s wish. She needs to walk through two rivers just to talk to her mother. A child wished for a washing machine for her mother who works as a laundress, two students were given a chance to continue their studies as they were given scholarship grants from STI, and three ladies were given free check-up and eyeglasses from EO Executive Optical.

Ai Ai de las Alas, who plays Dyosa Marishka, felt happy and went teary eyed when she, with the help of Wako Wako, granted the wish of Geraldine, a ten year old girl, who wished for her brother who has cerebral palsy. Ai Ai said, “God is so good. I hope that I can still help other people and be a blessing to others.”

The stories of the grantees were touching especially Frederico Del Mundo, a one-legged tricycle driver, who faced a life-altering accident which decapitated his one leg. This didn’t hinder him from working for his family but he didn’t have his own tricycle; he just borrows his brother-in-law. Wako Wako granted his wish to have his own tricycle from Kawasaki.

The wishes were granted by Wako Wako and the entertainment was provided by our Kapamilya stars. Love teams from the hit teen comedy series LUV U serenaded the audience with sweet songs. Ryan Bang gave an energetic song and dance number, Wako Wako love team Liezel and Markki sang for everyone and the famous ventriloquist Ruther Urquia with his puppet/best friend made the audience laugh. Also present in the event were Wako Wako stars Gladys Reyes, Vandolph Quizon, Ai Ai de las Alas, and of course, Wako Wako and Ukaw Ukaw.

Truly Wako Wako’s visit was one of the most memorable Kapamilya events. Don’t forget to watch the finale of our favorite Arukan and bestfriend, Wako Wako, until this Friday, after PBB Teen Edition 4: Uber 2012.
